E FUN is a relatively low-key hardware manufacturer, but with their new launch, they might just have made it into the spotlight. The American company has been on the tablet scene for five years now, and while they are a leading manufacturer, they never managed to get into the limelight that much. With their new Windows 8.1 hybrid tablets from the NextBook Flexx family, they might have a shot at becoming cult favorites for their affordable prices.

The NextBook Flexx 10 and NextBook Flexx 11 are the two newest hybrid tablets from E Fun and they are intended to satisfy any power user with Windows 8.1 needs in tow. The main idea behind the Flexx family is to provide portable workstations or entertainment station, with the Holiday season in mind, but the hybrid tablets are not good for vacations only as they do harbor powerful hardware and a full Windows 8.1 OS installation.

Both the NextBook Flexx 10 and Flexx 11 come with full sized keyboards, in case there’s work to be done, which are nice additions to the hybrid tablets that aim to please everyone. Moreover, the devices come with mini HDMI outputs, so that they can be used with regular HDTVs and smart TVs for the living room as entertainment centers.

As you’ve probably guessed, the main difference between the NextBook Flexx 10 and Flexx 11 is the display size. The Flexx 11 comes with a large 11.6 inch display, while the Flexx 10 comes with a more regular 10.1 inch display. The 10 inch hybrid tablet comes with a 1280*800 resolution, 2 USB ports, one microUSB port, a quad core Intel Atom Z3735F CPU, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The larger 11 inch hybrid comes with a 1366*768 resolution, the same Intel Atom processor and 64 GB internal storage.

The NextBook Flexx 10 price is set at about $180, while the NextBook Flexx 11 costs about $230. For the price, the devices offer good hybrid functions and the fact that there’s full Windows 8.1 on board both these devices is definitely a selling point. Although they’re not the cheapest in the batch, they’re quipped with all the necessities for travel or even leisure, making them ultimate hybrid tablets.
